Sitel reportedly has been
selected by a global travel management company to provide business process outsourcing services.
Officials from Sitel said they were selected by the new client for their ability to standardize operations, improve processes and increase efficiencies across five international brands.
The contract is worth about $30 million, over three years.
Sitel officials said that under the deal, 300 company associates in India, Morocco, Singapore and the Philippines would work toward providing comprehensive customer support of the online client’s reservations, business-to-business, customer care, sales, services and back-office operations.
Officials said that the company’s turnkey solution would provide global coverage of English, French, and Mandarin customer care and sales.
“We are pleased to further grow Sitel’s travel and tourism portfolio with one of the world’s preeminent Internet travel brands,” said David Garner, chief executive officer and president of Sitel.
Garner said that Sitel’s global presence helps the company provide clients with access to qualified labor pools with the requisite language skills and travel knowledge to service customers, sell products and drive much needed customer loyalty.
Sitel is a global Business Process Outsourcing leader. The company meets clients’ customer care and transaction processing needs through 60,000 associates in 27 nations. Sitel provides solutions from on-shore, nearshore and offshore locations across 155-plus facilities throughout North America, South America, EMEA and Asia Pacific.
The company recently
announced that a major daily U.S. newspaper selected Sitel to provide integrated customer support. Under the pact, about 80 Sitel associates would provide inbound bi-lingual customer service to newspaper subscribers helping support peak calling times throughout the day.
The new client selected Sitel for its unique solution which consolidated current operations and reduced overall cost per call by blending live and automated support.
