FreeConference Offers Low-Priced Long Distance Calling Cards

FreeConference, the originators of free audio conference call services, will soon offer low cost calling cards for conferencing and all long distance calls.

These pre-paid cards from Excite Telecom (ETI (News - Alert)) can be used for any one-to-one or conference calls, both in the U.S. and internationally. Cards are available through the FreeConference Web site, and can be purchased by anyone—with or without a FreeConference account.

Purchasers receive their pin number instantly for immediate use, and gift recipients are sent their pin number via e-mail.

“The average costs for toll services in the US are almost 7 cents per minute, and higher for many cell phone plans; International rates to the US can be much higher," commented Greg Smitherman, CEO of Global Conference Partners, the parent company of FreeConference.

“Not only can you save but if you have friends, relatives or business associates in other countries, they may be able to save substantially when calling you with these low-priced long distance cards,” added Smitherman.

ETI offers low rates to call a U.S. number, typically only 3.9 cents per minute. FreeConference originated the free teleconferencing concept with highly automated, enterprise quality conferencing services for businesses, organizations and individuals requiring top-tier performance at little or no cost.

Today, FreeConference is serving well over a billion minutes a year of all digital conference calls. FreeConference continues to lead the industry with innovative value-added audio and Web conferencing options that let users customize the conferencing features they need, just when they need them. FreeConference is a service of Global Conference Partners.

In June, FreeConference announced the launch of On-Demand Reservationless Toll Free Premium 800 service. Priced at only 10 cents per minute, per user, the service includes free conference recording, 24 hour automated access, Toll Free customer service, and soon- to-be launched On-Demand Reservationless desktop sharing.
