AtMail's Webmail Now FireFox Compatible

AtMail, a provider of Linux-based email management appliances and software has announced that AtMail Webmail’s new version AtMail 5.4 is fully interoperable with popular cross-platform browser FireFox 3. The new version also features IMail migration capabilities and security functionality.

"Any AtMail customers that are upgrading to the latest version of FireFox will find our latest AtMail 5.4 release fully supports, and is instantly compatible with this new version of the widely popular, cross-platform browser," said Corey Bissaillon, vice president of AtMail.

"AtMail 5.4 builds upon the solid foundation of our commercial-grade email management solution that organizations turn to when migrating from outdated or legacy email systems."

According to AtMail, users who upgrade to the new version of the Firefox browser will now get instant support to AtMail. In addition, users of IMail can easily migrate to AtMail thanks to the availability of migration scripts.

In an attempt to provide enhanced security for Webmail, AtMail 5.4 allows the connection to SSL-secured versions of the POP3 and IMAP4 protocols. This makes the process of accessing email as secure as any online banking transaction.

In a bid to maintain its leadership in the Webmail applications space, AtMail unveiled AtMail Open, a new open source Webmail tool that has received tremendous response from universities, small businesses, governments and ISPs around the world.

Fifteen million users across the world have benefited from the full range of email messaging solutions offered by AtMail.
