Alert), a provider of operations support systems (OSS) and business support systems (BSS) for telecom operators, has deployed multi-service prepaid billing and cash management system for Biznet, a telecom service provider in Indonesia.
Elitecore’s OSS and BSS systems named CRESTEL will also help deliver on-demand broadband services to Biznet subscribers. Biznet, with a subscriber base of 10,000, is planning to deploy GEPON network for its broadband services. Biznet is also planning to launch multi-services package to customers.
Since prepaid is a major growth driver for mobile operators, Biznet has launched real- time prepaid vouchers in Indonesia. Initially, Biznet will use the CRESTEL multi-service pre-paid billing solution for data services and later it will be upgraded to future content services.
Telecom customers are demanding flexibility and instant service.
“CRESTEL’s multi service prepaid billing system has given Biznet the flexibility to offer services on fly and to increase our dealer network while reducing the cost of operation,” said Adi Kusma, president and director, Biznet.
The cash/prepaid vouchers are service neutral and can be used against any service offered by the provider making it easy for the service provider to launch new services.
“The voucher solution is one of the ideal systems to boost sales and to extend traditional sales and distribution channels to sell prepaid top-ups,” Elitecore Technologies said in a media statement.
“What differentiates us from other vendors is our market led approach rather than a technology led approach when providing our solution, our multi-service billing system will give business flexibility, and better the sales and marketing capabilities for Biznet,” said Nikhil Jain, president and COO, Elitecore Technologies.
CRESTEL’s prepaid billing system has empowered Biznet to offer on-demand customer services, while reducing logistics and production cost. The new multi-service billing system has also enabled the Indonesian telecom operator to offer cash/prepaid vouchers that are not linked to any particular service or plan.
With the new solutions in place, the Biznet subscriber may use the voucher for multiple services or single services or change plans based on the balance available on the card. Its real-time capabilities include sending SMS, e-mails, changing plans, selecting on-demand services, and balance alert notifications.
